Micropol is growing, and we’re pleased to announce that construction work for our new production and office facility in Halmstad is now officially underway. The groundwork is being prepared, marking an important milestone in our company’s long-term development.
“Our current facility in Åled does not allow for further growth. The new facility will give us the capacity to expand and diversify our business, enabling us to broaden our current offer within tactical communication. For example, we will significantly increase our ability to install, repair, and refurbish customers’ platforms,”
Peter Ljungkvist, CEO of Micropol Fiberoptic.
The new premises will cover approximately 4,600 square meters and include facilities for production, cleanroom environments, warehouse, customer showroom, offices, and modern joint staff areas. The investment strengthens Micropol’s position in the fiber optic industry and ensures that we can continue to meet growing market demands for high-performance fiber solutions in both critical communication, defense, and civilian applications.
Strategically located along the E6 highway in Halmstad, the new facility will offer excellent logistics opportunities and improved accessibility for staff, customers, and partners.
The facility is expected to be completed by the end of 2026.

Micropol Fiberoptic is growing rapidly, driven by an increased global demand for fiber optic solutions. To meet this expansion, we are investing in both our production capacity and our people. As a result, several new talent colleagues have joined Micropol in recent weeks.
An exciting step forward for Micropol – our new headquarters and production facility in Halmstad is now visibly coming to life. Last week, construction reached an important milestone as the first walls were lifted into place.
