Micropol Fiberoptic is proud to partner with Rheinmetall in developing the cutting-edge Skynex system, an advanced solution for short-range air defense. Designed to counter a range of airborne threats, including drones, missiles, and aircraft, the Skynex system sets new standards in flexibility and adaptability with its open, modular architecture.
Central to the system’s performance is the seamless integration of multiple sensors and radars. Micropol’s high-performance fiber optic military patch cables enable fast and reliable data transmission between these components, ensuring that large quantities of data from advanced radars like the Oerlikon X-TAR3D® Tactical Acquisition Radar are delivered instantly to the control node.
Micropol’s cables are specifically tailored to meet Rheinmetall's requirements, offering robust performance in the most challenging environments. Each military patch cable is thoroughly tested to ensure maximum data transfer speed and reliability, featuring cut-resistant design and connectors built to withstand subzero temperatures and external strain.

Micropol Fiberoptic is growing rapidly, driven by an increased global demand for fiber optic solutions. To meet this expansion, we are investing in both our production capacity and our people. As a result, several new talent colleagues have joined Micropol in recent weeks.
An exciting step forward for Micropol – our new headquarters and production facility in Halmstad is now visibly coming to life. Last week, construction reached an important milestone as the first walls were lifted into place.
